What's offered?

• Scope of Newsgroups
  At the moment, we offer more than 25,000 newsgroups from over 220 different newsgroup hierarchies. Our portfolio of newsgroups offered is well-kept and extended continuously. Our server does not carry any groups with binary content.

• Spam Filter
  Spam (e.g. unsolicited advertisements) is filtered out automatically by the server (with the program "Cleanfeed"), this improves the readability within the newsgroups and decreases time and data volume of downloads.
• Privacy
  Our server does not publish any personal information about the user in posting headers that the user does not publish by himself. In particular, the user's IP address is not visible to third parties.
• Highly Redundant Feeds
  We exchange postings with more than 200 different peering partners all around the globe. Thereby we achieve excellent completeness and very high reliability of supply.
• Support
  You will receive professional assistance for setup and usage of our service through our extensive web pages (e.g. FAQs, program configuration), and our news team is available by e-mail for your needs.
• Experience and Competence
  Unlike many ISPs, Usenet is no "niched" product for us. Our staff is highly skilled and possesses longtime experience and expertise in Usenet as well as in supporting and maintaining our service and users.

How much is an account?

10 EUR per year, including the applicable VAT. Contract duration is one year, after which the subscription can be renewed for another year by paying 10 EUR again (we will remind you in time). Cancellation is not necessary: At the end of a subscription period, simply do not pay for the next period.

How can I pay?

You can choose from the following payment options: The online payment service providers ClickandBuy (formerly Firstgate) and PayPal, as well as payment by bank transfer to a German bank account of Freie Universität Berlin (for holders of non-German bank accounts, IBAN and BIC are available).
